La Villaya 8 bedroom villa complex is made up of two identical 4 bedroom villas. They’re located close to each other in the up and coming area of Umalas. With two large pools and two large open plan living areas, you have all the space you need to mingle, chat, socialize and have fun. You also have plenty of space to take a quiet moment alone.

Whether you’re an extended family or a group of friends, two identical villas close to each other is great way to organise your group. Maybe it suits you to have one party villa for those who want to socialize till the early hours, and a more chill villa for the early birds who prefer a restful break. It’s up to you. The star turn of both of these villas is the pool. This is where you are likely to spend much of your time. With plentiful sun loungers, bean bags and chairs, both pools are set up for a group of people to hang out together and enjoy the Bali sunshine.

Nor does it end there! Both villas have a very generous open plan living space. This combines living, dining and kitchen areas. There is plenty of room in each for a large group to convene. As well as lots of floor space, each has an 8pax dining table and lots of sofa space. There’s also some nooks upstairs. A cluster of comfortable chairs on the landing lends itself to chatter among a smaller breakout group.

Whichever villa, you’re in, my insider tip to you is to grab the master bedroom for yourself. It’s the biggest room, and it has its own seating area right by the picture windows looking out over the pool. There’s also a seating area on the adjoining terrace. Truth be told, all the bedrooms are good choices. All have king-sized beds, AC, closet space and a private bathroom with both bath and shower, and all look out onto the pool. You really can’t go wrong!

Nestled between chic Seminyak and hipster Canggu, Umalas has become one of the most exclusive locations in Bali with a number of gourmet restaurants, trendy cafés and luxury spas. And this villa is located near to Warung Dua and Bucu.

Favourite picks of cafés & restaurants in Umalas include:

Warung Dua: favourite among expats and with a relaxed vibe, Warung Dua offers coffee, fresh juices and yummy Indonesian food. It is a great pit stop in Umalas if you are looking for quick, tasty and cheap food and would be a great introduction to the famous ‘Indonesian Warungs’.
Habitual: A small exclusive café with some one-of-a-kind burgers that is only open for breakfast and lunch. With a world class American chef and a contemporary chic décor, this place is dressed in dark colours to create an ambiance! The café also offers pasta, soups and salads and some yummy desserts.
Bucu: must-go for a family as it has an interesting playground downstairs (including an inflatable water castle when the sun is out). The playground is half inside and half outside so it is also convenient during the rainy season. As well as that, the food, coffee and atmosphere are great!
Nook: With its unbeatable rice field views, this open spaced place serves Balinese specialties in addition to Western favourites at very reasonable prices. The heavenly juices, huge smoothies and seafood kebab or fresh oysters on a Sunday are real crowd pleasers.
Monsieur Spoon: An oh-la-la French bakery perfect for a ‘petit dejeuner’. Definitely the best croissants on the island but not only limited to that. Do also try the breakfast, lunch and dinner options and you will not be disappointed!
La Casetta: For pizza lovers, this is your place. Pizzas don’t come better than this, the pasta is to die for and don’t even get me started with the pannacotta or ‘Sorbetto al Limone’ for dessert. It is one of our favourite Italian restaurants for a very good reason!

Getting around:

The staff can arrange car with driver for day trips as well as motorbike rentals. Price for motorbike rentals ranges from 80.000 IDR for a standard Vario to 250.000 IDR for the more premium Nmax.
