We love this villa’s sense of calm and relaxation. If you’re here with your friends, it’s perfect for sunset cocktails by the pool and chatting all night on the sofas. If you’re here with the kids, it’s an ideal base for a calming evening with a movie. Enjoy family time running off energy at the pool (there’s a shallow end) or curling up in the living room after the excitement of exploring nearby Ubud.
We love the location too. Only 30 minutes from Ubud with its temples and shrines, art and dance, bars and restaurants, yet so quiet. And right on your doorstep here there are stunning waterfalls and canyons to explore, and quiet black sand beaches to stroll along. If you have the kids in tow, you are in a very handy location for Bali Zoo and Bali Bird Park – the kids will love it!
The villa is packed with amenities: a large TV with Netflix, a semi-open air bath tub in the master bedroom, high end kitchen appliances including a water station and a Nespresso coffee machine. Staff are at your disposal too, should you wish for a chef to cook your dinner, or to book you a massage right here in your villa. All the bedrooms have air conditioning, king-sized beds, closet space and ensuite bathrooms with large walk-in showers.

This villa is located just a 30 minute drive from the buzz of Ubud. There’s so much here you can’t miss: there’s Ubud Royal Palace, right in the heart of the town, with its outstanding Balinese architecture and serene gardens. In the evening, you can catch the Balinese dance performance known as Kecak dance here. A short walk away, there’s Ubud Art Market which sells silk scarves, handmade bags, shirts, statues, hats and even kites, most of which are made in the surrounding villages. Prices here are negotiable, so don’t pay the first price asked. We also recommend Museum Puri Lukisan, the home of the finest modern Balinese art, which also offers a range of courses and workshops which are great fun for all the family. And if you have kids in tow, you mustn’t skip the Monkey Forest. Walking through this natural forest sanctuary may have you feeling a little like Indiana Jones as you pass Banyan trees and temples, but it’s the monkeys that are the main attraction.
Hungry? Ubud has everything you need and a little more. For fine dining, Mozaic is a winner, with some of the best food in Bali. Locally sourced ingredients prepared with French technique is the speciality – be sure to book in advance. For healthy eaters, vegans and great cocktails, Melali Ubud is a good choice, with delicious falafel bowls and heaty salads. And if you’re looking for sunset views over the jungle, try The Sayan House’s fantastic fusion of Latin-Japanese cuisine.
There’s also fun to be had closer to home. For those who want to explore Bali’s beautiful natural scenery, you’re in a great location for visiting Tegenungan Waterfall and Hidden Canyon. Tegenungan Waterfall is just ten minutes away and is one of the biggest and most spectacular waterfalls in Bali. Hidden Canyon is a 20-minute drive, and involves a 1-2 guided hike through the rocks, with water sometimes chest height. It’s worth it! For those craving the sea, there are unspoilt black sand beaches just a thirty-minute drive away.
For families, this location is perfect for visiting Bali Zoo and Bali Bird Park, both of which will be a hit with the kids.

We absolutely loved the villa. Ricefield views were a definitely plus. The villa was new, spacious and clean. Staff very professional and friendly. A big thank you to Bali Comfy Villas for organising everything. Would definitely come and stay again.
At first, we were hesitant about the location as it was a bit further from Ubud than the other villas, but this proved to be a great plus as we enjoyed the tranquility away from the traffic of Ubud. It was a blessing to have such a peaceful villa next to the rice fields. Also, Ubud was only 30 minutes away so still convenient for us. We enjoyed the pool and indoor dining/living room, where the kids loved watching movies in the large TV of the living room.
From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel at home. Whatever we asked was there in minutes and with a smile. Villa was very well maintained and clean. The pool was where we spent most of our time with the relaxing view of the rice fields. Definitely recommend the in-house dinner – the Indonesian food was amazing but the chef can cater to any taste. A big thank to everyone that made our holiday so enjoyable.
This is a hidden gem of a villa. Perfect for a family of five. Service was impeccable. We got a lot of help on everything from grocery shopping to dinners to taxis to recommendations on where to go in Ubud. We arranged a day trip to Ubud and Tegalalang with Bali Comfy Trips which was really nice. Everything a straight A+
