New Moon 1 bedroom loft villa, our brand new 1 bedroom villa – and by brand new we mean that the villa was built in November 2024 – is the dream villa of any digital nomad. Fast reliable internet, complete privacy and no shared facilities. Yes, we’re happy to tell you that the villa has its own plunge pool, as well as living space and a fully equipped kitchenette. Additionally, it has a cute loft with a king size bedroom that comes with some private office space, a smart TV and of course a private bathroom. Needless to say, the space is also fully air conditioned. There is also a security box handy for your valuables.
And what is more, New Moon 1 bedroom loft villa comes at a very affordable price. This is courtesy of the owners as a welcome gift. It is also located in the up and coming Umalas residential area. You can literally walk for breakfast, lunch or dinner to Warung Dua or our favourite kid friendly option Bucu. But as well as these two options, there are lots of cool restaurants in the vicinity. Do pay a visit to the very first and best Georgian restaurant in Bali. This is called Tiflis and it is only 300 metres away from the villa. We recommend the Kachapuri with meat and cheese and the Borscht soup.

The neighbourhood:
Nestled between chic Seminyak and hipster Canggu, Umalas has become one of the most exclusive locations in Bali with a number of gourmet restaurants, trendy cafés and luxury spas. To be exact, this villa is next to (50metres away) Warung Dua and Bucu.
Favourite picks of cafés & restaurants in Umalas include:
- Warung Dua: favourite among expats and with a relaxed vibe, Warung Dua offers coffee, fresh juices and yummy Indonesian food. It is a great pit stop in Umalas if you are looking for quick, tasty and cheap food and would be a great introduction to the famous ‘Indonesian Warungs’.
- Habitual: A small exclusive café with some one-of-a-kind burgers that is only open for breakfast and lunch. With a world class American chef and a contemporary chic décor, this place is dressed in dark colours to create an ambiance! The café also offers pasta, soups and salads and some yummy desserts.
- Bucu: must-go for a family as it has an interesting playground downstairs (including an inflatable water castle when the sun is out). The playground is half inside and half outside so it is also convenient during the rainy season. As well as that, the food, coffee and atmosphere are great!
- Nook: With its unbeatable rice field views, this open spaced place serves Balinese specialties in addition to Western favourites at very reasonable prices. The heavenly juices, huge smoothies and seafood kebab or fresh oysters on a Sunday are real crowd pleasers.
- Monsieur Spoon: An oh-la-la French bakery perfect for a ‘petit dejeuner’. Definitely the best croissants on the island but not only limited to that. Do also try the breakfast, lunch and dinner options and you will not be disappointed!
- La Casetta: For pizza lovers, this is your place. Pizzas don’t come better than this, the pasta is to die for and don’t even get me started with the pannacotta or ‘Sorbetto al Limone’ for dessert. It is one of our favourite Italian restaurants for a very good reason!
Getting around:
The staff can arrange car with driver for day trips as well as motorbike rentals. Price for motorbike rentals ranges from 80.000 IDR for a standard Vario to 250.000 IDR for the more premium Nmax.

Staff was very polite, helpful and accommodating. The villa was clean, amenities were well
maintained and the next door warung had a great range of healthy options. The location is not the
most touristy – so not in Canggu or Seminyak – but the value for money with this villa is definitely
worth it. Also Umalas is close enough to both Canggu and Seminyak and was I surprised with the
development of the area lately. Plenty of nice restaurants nearby so some days I would not even
leave the area.
Clean, new place with no insects. Everything is closed so no open spaces. Plunge pool also very
clean. The staff would come and clean daily. They were very friendly. I asked for some
recommendations for places to go around and they gave me plenty. Anna from Bali Comfy Villas also
sent me a list of things to do once I booked which was very handy. Thank you everyone for this
amazing accommodation.
Everything was just perfect! The villa is very new and you can sense that in all the utilities and
amenities. I wanted to be away from the traffic of Canggu but still near enough to take advantage of
the nice restaurants and bars it has so Umalas was an ideal solution. Would walk daily at least for
breakfast to Warung Dua in front which was super convenient. The staff were very professional and
friendly and the internet was very fast.
Simple but great villa if you are one person. The internet is very reliable and super fast which was a
definite plus as I was looking for a villa where I can work. Co-working places in Bali are pretty
expensive so was trying to avoid that cost. The staff is very professional and the fact that there is a
reception with someone there 24/7 is another plus. In all, I would strongly recommend this villa for a
single person or a couple.
