Extensive outdoor space at Ambalama 7 bedroom villa

As well as its size, this villa boasts exceptional design from internationally renowned architect, Ernesto Bedmar. It also boasts Bali’s largest and most diverse micro forest, with 1.000 trees and 100 species all native to Bali. It is definitely a haven for kids to run around and play on the huge grass area. Afterwards, they can dive into the 25m semi Olympic pool (there is also a kids’ pool).

For adults, there is plenty of space for suntanning either by the main pool of the villa or the private pool of the master villa. Yes, suntanning here is a serious task. The grass area can also be transformed into the ideal setting for sunset or sunrise yoga sessions. Or try using it for luxury dinner/event/wedding celebrations.

The open space two-storey pavilion by the pool calls for sunset cocktails in the rooftop lounge with its 180-beach view. Follow this up by candle-lit dinners in the large dining area downstairs. If you love cooking and experimenting with Indonesian cuisine, there is an ultra-modern kitchen with all Western amenities. And if you are too lazy to cook, the chef and staff will happily do it for you in the villa’s second kitchen.

Take your pick of bedrooms

Sleepwise, there are 7 bedrooms in total. These are split between the master villa (3 in the master villa) and the 4 guest villas. All bedrooms have Bluetooth-enabled speakers and a private lounge area. They also have a safety deposit box, closet space, AC, a ceiling fan, and an en-suite bathroom with a hairdryer and toiletries. Most bedrooms also feature day beds and office space. Most en-suite bathrooms have 2 sinks and freestanding bathtubs (in addition to the shower).

The master villa is independent.  By this we mean that it has its own pool, living space and kitchenette. The crown jewel of this villa is definitely its master bedroom upstairs. Not only is it ultra-large, it features two desk spaces, private lounge areas, a king-size bed, a large en-suite bathroom, and – the cherry on top – a balcony with oh-what-a-view of endless rice fields leading to the Indonesian ocean.

Alternatively, you can choose one of the four spacious guest villas. Each guest villa is very generous in size. Three of the guest villas have king-size beds and one has twin beds (twin beds can be converted into a double bed). All villas feature private timbered decks and water features. There is also private lounge space, a wooden bench with two chairs – also used as office space -, a large daybed that can serve as an extra bed  and a mini pantry with tea and creamer. As for the en-suite bathroom, expect to find a covered free-standing bathtub, a shower, two sinks and a large closet space.
